Our 2016 field season kicks off in two weeks! The team will be gathering in Paphos around the 12th of October and turning over soil on site soon after. This season we are targeting specific areas around the theatre to learn more about the urbanisation of the theatre district, to hopefully gather more evidence for the Medieval period of Fabrika, and take a detailed look at some of our finds from the previous season's excavations. However, as with all archaeological excavation, our season aims and research questions can change depending on what the soil throws at us.
To keep up to date on this season make sure to check back here throughout October and November.
We will also be starting up our education dig blog from the first week of excavation. Each week a different team member will take to the blog to talk about their experience, research, what life is like on a dig and how the trenches are progressing.
