Paphos Theatre in VR
In 2017 the Paphos Theatre Archaeological Project teamed with LithodomosVR, a Melbourne-based digital visualisation firm in order to recreate the Antonine phase of the Paphos Theatre as a three-dimensional Virtual Reality experience. The model, viewable through a VR headset, was first displayed during the Pafos2017 European Capital of Culture celebrations. It is now available as an app from both the iTunes Store and the GooglePaly store. The model has subsequently been used in school education programs in both Australia and Cyprus, and is currently part of the Nicholson Museum's exhibition The Art of Storytelling (until Feb 2020).
