The team

About our team

Over the years several hundred people have been involved in the archaeological excavations at the site of the ancient theatre of Paphos in one capacity or another, be it as part of the professional archaeological team, a student member, or as a contributing volunteer. Most of the team have come from Australia, but the project has always had an international component with involvement of students and specialists from around the world.

Students

The excavations of the theatre have always been a training ground for students of archaeology. Undergraduates, with no previous experience, are welcome to apply to join our team and learn the skills of the trade in a unique environment.

contributing volunteers

A contributing volunteer is a member of the public who joins the team to learn more about history, archaeology, fieldwork, ceramics, art and theatre and who contributes to the project.
