Today is the last day to apply for our 2016 field season. Make sure to complete our online application forms for either students or volunteers. If you have any issues please make sure to contact us as soon as possible.

Applications for the 2016 Olwen Tudor Jones Scholarship are now open for University of Sydney students. This scholarship is awarded to assist a University of Sydney student to participate in Mediterranean archaeological fieldwork. We are proud to have had several recipients of this scholarship participate in the Paphos Theatre Archaeological Project since its inception in 2001. To find out more about eligibility and how to apply visit the Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens (AAIA) scholarship webpage.

All archaeological excavations are expensive to operate and rely on the generosity of all those involved and supporters who are interested in the work that we do. Your contributions go towards our ongoing expenses including:
  • buying or hiring excavation equipment
  • supporting archaeology students
  • ensuring specialists have access to the excavated material
  • assisting with the publication of our work including conservation, photography and illustration
  • even meals for the team during our field seasons

The 2016 field season is scheduled for October. A large component of our work is managing all of the finds from the 20 years of excavation and research. To do so, this season we need to make some large purchases of new storage equipment such as shelving units and storage facilities.

Finds management and post excavation resources are not the most glamorous aspect of our work, but it is essential to ensure that we can keep working into the future, in the field and in the finds store.

All donations are completely tax deductible.
